Diamond Stars showcased their resilience and determination by staging a remarkable comeback to defeat FC Kallon 3-2 in the Leone Rock Premier League 2024/25 at the Approve School Playing Field.
The match was nothing short of a rollercoaster, keeping fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
FC Kallon started strong, with Hassan Milla scoring the first goal in the 15th minute, assisted by Momoh Lappo. Christopher Bangura added to their lead with a goal in the 31st minute, thanks to an assist from Sahr Musa.
At halftime, it seemed FC Kallon had the game under control with a 2-0 lead.
However, Diamond Stars had different plans for the second half. Osman Komba ignited the comeback with a goal in the 46th minute.
Abubakar M Massoki equalized the score to 2-2 in the 67th minute, with an assist from Komba. The excitement peaked when Baimba Sesay scored the winning goal in the 70th minute, assisted by Mohamed Akarr, sealing a stunning victory for Diamond Stars.
This triumphant comeback not only boosts Diamond Stars' morale but also keeps their championship hopes alive.
