Mohammed Kallon: “ Honored to Serve My Country” as Sierra Leone Head Coach

Sierra Leone's Football Legend Mohammed Kallon has officially accepted the role of head coach for the Sierra Leone national team, starting a new era in the country’s football journey. 

In his first statement following the announcement, Kallon expressed his deep sense of duty and patriotism. 

‘ I accept this job because it is my country. It was not an easy decision- there were many considerations- but now we are here. I am honoured to serve Sierra Leone. I love my country, and that is why I am taking on this responsibility “ Kallon said. 

Kallon's appointment comes as part of the ‘Concept 2027 ‘ initiative, a long-term strategy designed to evaluate Sierra Leone’s football standards, nurture young talent and establish a competitive national team on the international stage.

The football community, government officials, and fans have welcomed the decision, rallying behind Kallon as he takes on the challenge of leading the national team to success. More details regarding his technical staff and upcoming plans will be revealed soon Said the media department of the FA.


With passion, experience, and a deep commitment to Sierra Leonean football, Mohamed Kallon is ready to lead his country again forward as he did in his playing days.
