Here's to another year of life, growth, and achievement for Sahr James Bangah, former National Vice President of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (#SLAJ), owner and managing editor of Northern Times Newspaper, and Chief Executive Officer, Voice of the North Radio.

Mr. Bangah is an experienced investigative journalist, fearless and brave advocate for press freedom, a guiding mentor, and esteemed leader, whose influence has profoundly shaped my journey as a multimedia journalist, fact-checker, and administrator.

His mentorship over the years has imparted invaluable lessons on patience, dedication, and empathy. These unique principles from his end continue to inspire me and many others.

On this special day (September, 2, 2025), I extend my heartfelt wishes and prayers for your happiness and well-being, always.

Indeed, we’ve come a long way together sir, and I want the world to recognize that your quiet strength, humility, and compassion remain a source of inspiration for me and many others.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District

This newly launched medical facility, comprising 11 treatment rooms, was developed with the support of Southeastern Medical International (SMI) and the Concord Christian Church.
