Defending champions of the Leone Rock Premier League, East End Lions Football Club have completed the signing of experienced international forward Kwame Quee, as the club looks to reignite its 2025/26 league campaign.
The 29-year-old arrives from Icelandic outfit VĂkingur Ă“lafsvĂk, with vast experience that spans stints in Iceland, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and Sierra Leone.
East End Lions say Quee’s signing is aimed at strengthening their attacking options during a challenging second half of the season.
Describing Kwame Quee, East End Lions officials say, "Quee is a proven professional whose international exposure and composure in big moments could be decisive as the champions attempt to climb the table.
Quee who's international journey began early, and has since represented Sierra Leone across several youth levels before earning his senior national team debut just 14 years ago, is no stranger to the Sierra Leone Premier League, having previously featured for Old Edwardians Football Club.
He was also part of Sierra Leone’s historic squad at the delayed 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, a milestone that marked the country’s return to Africa’s biggest football stage after more than two decades.
Over the course of his career, Quee has collected a number of personal and team laurels, including domestic cup honors at home, promotion campaigns in Europe, and international caps that underline his long-standing contribution to Sierra Leone football, achievements that now add pedigree to the East End Lions dressing room.
The 29-year-old is expected to make his first appearance in Lions colors on February 23, when East End Lions host Kambia Eagles Football Club.
The reigning champions currently find themselves in an unfamiliar territory, sitting 13th on the league table with just three wins from 15 matches (five losses and seven draws), trailing traditional rivals Mighty Blackpool.
With Quee now back on home soil and eager to make an impact, East End Lions will be hoping his experience and leadership can spark a late surge, turning a difficult title defense into a story of resilience, revival, and renewed ambition.
