Members of the public and football stakeholders are calling on the Bo District Football Association (BDFA) and the Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) to make public the outcome of an investigation into alleged match-fixing involving a cross-section of referees in Bo. It could be recalled that about a month ago, an audio recording circulated widely on social media, containing allegations implicating some referees in activities believed to be connected to match manipulation. Following the circulation of the audio, the Bo District Football Association, in collaboration with the Southern Region Football Association, reportedly launched an investigation and established a committee to probe the allegations. However, nearly a month later, the public is yet to hear the findings of the committee. The continued silence has raised concerns among football stakeholders, particularly about what may be responsible for the delay and when the investigation's outcome will be made public. Stakeholders say transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining public confidence in football administration and protecting the integrity of competitions. They are therefore urging the relevant football authorities to conclude the process and communicate the findings to the football community, while ensuring that anyone found responsible is dealt with in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations. At a time when efforts are being made to attract more sponsors and investors into football in the region, stakeholders believe that maintaining credibility, fairness and transparency is critical. The question now being asked is, When will the findings of the investigation be made public?
