Kamboi Eagles, Bo Rangers fled high over opponents in Sierra Leone Premier League

Match day one in the 2019/2020 Sierra Leone Premier League turns out to be laudable for South and Eastern region hosts, Bo Rangers and Kamboi Eagles who both sent visitors Central Parade and Freetown City FC home in tears after both teams lost away in Bo and Kenema respectively.





Last season’s third place owners Bo Rangers in the absence of their striker Suffian Kalokoh started their Premier League campaign well over FCFC with a 20th minute goal from the former Hafia sensation Prince Barrie.

The visitor’s efforts to equalize in the game proved futile as the Rangers wasted no time but hold on to their first half lead till full time which made their southern region supporters enjoyed night-live in the country’s second largest city Bo few hours after Prince Barrie was voted is as man of the Match.

Central Parade were also beaten 2-0 by Kamboi Eagles. Abubakkar Kanu’s 35th minute curtain raiser dislodged the Western area visitors who were unable to reply the Eagles. Ahmed Vandi’s counter attack added the wings of the Eagles at minute 58 to make it 2-0 for the host which saw their opponent midfield area and defense in total disarray till full time.


It was a goalless game for one time Premier League Champions Diamond Stars against Anti Drugs in the diamond land of Kono. Both teams played well but law-10 was completely missing in the game and both teams shared the spell with so much taps on back of Diamond stars skipper Abdulai Mansaray for sensational display in the back line no wonder he was voted man of the match.


Traditional competitors of the League, Might Blackpool scored the earliest goal so far this season at only 5 minutes after kick off which kept the FC Johansen fans quite at the Siaka Stevens stadium until the 23rd minute when the Johansen trailblazer Raphael Koroma equalized before half time.

The rivalry heightens between the two teams with much chances from both sides even though several attempts to score in the second half proved fruitless and visitors Mighty Blackpool picks up valuable point to Johansen in the league opener while striker Raphael Koroma of FC-Johansen was awarded an android phone Premier League Board by haven been voted as man of the match.

The premier League will continues on Friday, 5th December when one time league’s runner up Republic of Sierra Leone Arm Forces will host East End Tigers at the Siaka Stevens Stadium in Freetown at 16:00 hours.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
