Makeni Local Court #1 Chairman Remand’s two petty traders over failure to pay longstanding Le 1,100,000 dept

During Monday's court hearing at the Local Court Number-1 located at turntable, in Makeni City, Northern Region, two petty trader namely Sama Sesay of Number-2 Timbo drive, Mabanta in Makeni and Isata Kamara of Number-87 old Mabanta Road in Makeni for their failure to pay the plaintiff’s long standing dept of One Million, One Hundred Thousand Leones which saw them being summoned to the court on 10h February, 2022.

According to the particular of offences of the said matter, both petty traders who admitted to owing the plaintiff that stipulated amounts as stated above but refused to show signs of remorse and willingness to pay the money which they respectively owed the plaintiff.

The particular of offences states that the two petty traders, Sama Sesay and Isata Kamara had collected vegetables from the plaintiff since November last year amounting to the sum of Two Hundred and Seventy Thousand Leones-(Le 270,000) and Eight Hundred and Thirty Thousand Leones-(Le 830,000) which they consented to during their first appearances at the court before the local court chairman Daniel Koroma Tholley.

Upon assessing the matter, Chairman Tholley resolved to send the defendants to three days remand with option to bail while the matter was adjourned to Wednesday, 23rd February, 2022.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
