We’re ready to give football refereeing a facelift in our region and beyond” - FIFA Certified Instructors Alhaji and Fullah Asserts

Alhaji Mohamed Bangura and Fullah Sesay, two of the newly FIFA certified Physical and Technical Local Referees Instructors in Sierra Leone from the North East Region Football Referees Association-(NERFA) have affirmed their readiness to "give football referring a facelift in their region and beyond.”

The former Referees, upon their return from Freetown where they along with 28 other physical and technical local referees instructors selected from across the country have successfully completed a five-day intriguing course on several topics including: “Technical fouls, Challenges, Offside, Hand-Ball, Penalty area incidents, Positioning and reading of the game as well as Game Management.”


They told that AWE-MEDIA.SL that: “We’re  now fell more professional in their areas haven acquired a lot of new knowledge relating to their duties as local instructors.”

Further described the training which is organized by FIFA for CAF Member Association Referees and Instructors as one that is "very important to them and timely to the betterment of  their careers as instructors."

"The five days experience gained from 20th to 24th June, 2022 in Freetown has reenergized them to continue to inspire and help develop upcoming football referees in the Northeast region. 


"Knowing fully well now that we are living in an era where Football Referees really matters, the act of refereeing in itself is a professional job and not in any way a dumping ground, this is why in as much as we’re here fully ready and energized to help uplift football referring in our region through our work, we are also encouraging others especially vibrants youths and athletes to come onboard.” they unanimously urged.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
