By: Alimamay Lawrence Turay

Wusum Stars last man standing Musa Mansaray has expressed excitement after accomplishing what he says is his long term dream to play the country's top-flight league.

Mansaray like his other teammates helped the Northern Rock to finish 3rd position in the Sierra Leone premier league.

The former Ocean Boys Football Club defender Musa Mansaray joined Wusum Stars in the 2017-2018 season after he had scored two stunning set pieces against Wusum Stars during his spell at his former club.

In the 2019-2020 season Mansaray departed the former 1st Division side Wusum Stars for Sierra Leone Premier League side Old Edwardians but couldn't make any appearance after Wusum Stars Management stalled his transfer letting him rejoined the club as a prodigal son.

In the 2021-2022 League season Mansaray's anticipated Sierra Leone premier league debut for wusum Stars was when he was featured in a top of the table clash against FC Kallon.

Commonly called "Mamie Kayma" for his valiant effort has established himself as one of the first-choice players in the packing order of Wusum Stars coach Abdulrahman Agina Turay's Squad.

In the early start of the second leg this season, Musa Mansaray sustained an injury that kept him off for nearly three months before he returned to the squad to complete the season and finished 3rd place.

Responding to an interview Musa Mansaray express excitement to fulfil his ambition to play in the Sierra Leone top-flight league. Mansaray said it has been a long journey to achieve this dream but he is looking forward to the upcoming season.

Responding to rumours of transfer that are going on surrounding his future, Mansaray strongly responded: "I'm currently a player for wusum Stars if any big club shows interest to sign me I will embrace the offer" he asserted.

Sierra Leone, Two other Nations disqualified from AFCON 2024 U17 Qualifiers

By: Abdulrahman Barrie The U17 football teams from Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Guinea Bissau have been disqualified from the 2024 U17 African Cup of Nations competition in Senegal after failing the mandatory MRI test scans. These scans, which determine the age of the players, revealed discrepancies that led to their removal from the tournament. The disqualification follows changes to Article 27.4 of the U17 Africa Cup of Nations regulations, which have tightened the criteria and enforcement of age verification measures. The updated rules stipulate that if a team has more than four players deemed ineligible after the MRI eligibility test, the entire team will be disqualified. The MRI tests, used to enforce age restrictions in youth competitions, are crucial for ensuring fairness. Unfortunately, the teams from these three nations did not meet the age criteria, resulting in their disqualification. This decision has come as a significant disappointment for the young players and their fans, w...
