Top Civil Society Organization Heal Sierra Leone has on Tuesday 28th June 2022 negotiated unity with People of Makeni on the terrifying Tribal division that is said to have been slowly taught and practiced by some Traitors of the Landin regions across the Nation.

The event was hosted at the Auditorium of the Ernest BaiKoroma University located at Azzolini Highway in Makeni with Students, Lecturers and some others who converged and participated in the day’s event.

Joseph Abass Sannoh is the Executive Director at Heal Sierra Leone who in his presentation vividly informed attendees on the current tribal speech that has the potentials of instigating the nation to a new conflict that would be far worst to the gone 11 years Senseless Rebel war.

He added that, Sierra Leoneans should deviate from any form of practice that has the powers of destroying the existing peace of the land. To him, Sierra Leone has suffered a lot in a bloody eleven years war that did not only perished the land but equally carried away prominent citizens and injured others.

He stressed out that Sierra Leoneans should always accept one another irrespective of their Political, Regional, Tribal and Religion differences.

“because of regionalism, tribalism and Political Party differences, some Sierra Leoneans are yet to believe that President Bio have accomplished a lot of his promises; the Free Quality Education, salary increment for Civil servants, fighting of corruption, construction of roads and bridges and a bit over sixty other developments he has accomplished from date he was elected for the Country’s top seat. He concluded.

In his response, Lamin Alusine Koroma a first year BSc Student at the Ernest Bai Koroma University revealed that, Politicians and weak minded Sierra Leoneans use tribalism, regionalism, politics to break citizenry bond of its countrymen to fulfil their personal gainspointing out that, politicians ofthe All People’s Congress (APC) and the Sierra Leone People’s party (SLPP) have badly earlier divided the country into party zones, which later graduated to the evil height of tribalism.

Speaking on behalf of participants, Tenneh Kamara a Public Health Student at the Ernest Bai Koroma University applauded Mr. Sannoh and his organization for taking the move into such campaign.

She noted that, the platform has gifted her a lot of ideas onTribalism and the development President Bio’s administration has brought in this for Sierra Leoneans. Noting that, most of the development highlighted are tangible but could not be seen and felt by many others who choose tribalism and Political party over their worth loving Nation.
