By: Alusine Rehme Wilson

During its latest graduation ceremony held at its multipurpose auditorium for pupils graduating from pre-primary-III to class-I, parents and guardians enjoined Teachers of the Saint Conforti Catholic Nursery School, New London in Makeni, Northern-Sierra Leone and amazingly decorate three key Board Members of the school believed to have been offering their best of services relentlessly for the school’s progress.

They are: Mr. Rokson Koyeima Fornah, the School Management Committee-(SMC) Chairperson, Mr. Foday Toofan Kargbo, the Community Teachers Association-(CTA) Chairperson and Mr. Mark S. Koroma, the Board Secretary who were dressed with honorary country cloths and lace attires as a show of appreciation for their committed and industrious services to the school’s board since taking up their various positions.

Mrs. Teresa Kabba, the Head Mistress told AWE-Media.SL that, they-(Teachers) together with the Parents and guardians of their Nursery School pupils met, raise some money and agreed to unexpectedly for the first time since the Nursery school was established in 2017, present memorable gifts to three of the school’s Board Members for “their marvelous work as member of the board.”

On behalf of the Parents, Guardians and Staff, “I’m happy that we were able to resolve unanimously at the decision to buy country cloth suits for the SMC and CTA Chairperson and dressed the Board Secretary in the same lace attires they as Teachers of the school have specially designed and worn for this year’s graduation ceremony which saw 37 pupils both boys and girls successfully progressed from Nursery to Primary school,” she further said.

On their parts, all three recipients of the memorable gifts-(dresses) thanked the parents, guardians and teachers of the school for recognizing their contributions to the school’s growth, especially their concerted gesture to publicly decorate them at such a well attended and landmark event in the school’s history.

“We accept these gifts wholeheartedly, reassure our continued services as Board Members and hope that our successors who will take over our roles in the school’s Board when our time shall elapse will follow our industrious footsteps which we believe will continue to help the school to grow from strength to strength. We’re encouraging more parents to send their kids to Saint Conforti Catholic Nursery School, New London in Makeni, Bombali District to let them access the Best Pre-Primary School Education,” they added.
