13th EBK-Trophy Last Eight: Golden Dragons FC eliminates Hadit FC

Tournament debutants and Masombrie village based soccer outfit Hadit FC 's hope of reaching this year's semi finals for the very first time was cut short on Friday after bowing 2-0 to former Sierra Leone Premier League side Golden Dragons of Magburaka at its mini stadium on Friday.

The host who suffered a 1-0 defeat to Hadit FC in the first leg encounter of the ongoing 13th edition of the EBK-Trophy, regrouped for and proved too strong for the visitors in the return leg, as they wasted no time to take the lead just five minutes on in the first half, and resisted all pressure from Hadit FC whose late defensive mistake saw them to conceive a second goal that was just enough for Golden Dragons Football Club to advance to the last four of the competition on a 2-1 aggregate.

Three more teams out of six will be joining the former Sierra Leone Premier League side when the quarter finals matches round-up by Wednesday, a media representative of the organizing committee said on Saturday.
