​Popular Disc Jockey, “APC Bombali Media Team Member” on the run for his life

Weeks after his followers and other acquaintances of popular Disc Jockey and Member of the main opposition All People’s Congress-(APC) Party in Bombali District, Mr. Alpha Mustapha Kabia alias  “D.J Dust” alarmed over his shocking demise in the northeastern regional headquarter town of Makeni, his party has announced that their Media member is on the run for his life.

According to the APC Bombali branch announcement aired on Amzas Radio in Makeni, Alpha Mustapha Kabia was forced to flee to neighboring Guinea to find succor after he was declared wanted like few other members who were alleged to be associates of the late APC Social Media mouthpiece Hassan Dumbuya alias “Evangelist Samson” who was shot and killed in a Police Cross fire on station road in Makeni on 14th August 2022, a few days after the bloody August 10 insurrection which claimed the lives of both Police Personnel and some irate citizens that were protesting against the ruling government over high cost of living and alarming rate of unemployment.

The party further announced that Mr. Alpha Mustapha Kabia premises has been on constant raids by a group of youth believed to be supporters of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party who have rained strong threatening remarks on the former whose wife is also said to be on the run over grief and her whereabouts remained in the dark.

Neighbors as well as family members of the Kabia family have told the Press on conditions of animosity that they did see a group of thugs on several occasions after the August 14 at premises of Mr. Alpha Mustapha Kabia demanding for him with strong words to teach him a lesson each time he is found soon.

At Mr. Kabia’s workplace, Amzas Radio where he was a deputy station manager, his colleagues have said they are in shock  to note that their colleague is being hunted for associating himself to a deceased person who was only contracting him for media services. They have however, also enjoined the Kabia Family to express concerns over his sudden demise as well as his wife and has called for the speediest interventions of human rights organizations as well as other appropriate bodies to ensure they ensure the safety of their colleague and his wife and by extension his other family members residing in Makeni.

Meanwhile, the leadership of the ruling Sierra Leone’s People Party in Bombali District when contacted over the allegations has dissociated his party from having any hand on the attack and raids on the dwelling house of Mr. Alpha Mustapha Kabia saying: “it’s alleged that thugs believed to be supporters of our party have reportedly stormed the premises of Mr. Kabia but our party don’t have thugs as supporters, we remain a responsible party for the people of Sierra Leone and we will continue to live by our slogan as One Country, One People.”

Whatever be the case, Mr. Kabia has not been seen for weeks now since August this year and his fans and followers including the members of the Makeni Disc Jockeys Union – (MaDU) who he was leading as their union President keeps alarming on local networks as well as in night clubs that they are missing their colleague, friend, famous showbiz and Leader.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
