Cameroon to begin search for Senior National Team Staff

Blaise Djounang, General Secretary of the Federation of Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) has confirmed the nation’s preparedness to commence search for coaching staff to take charge of the affairs of the Indomitable Lions.

His confirmation follows an earlier announcement by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi that the ministry and the local football federation have unanimously agreed after long speculations not to renew the contracts of their former Indomitable Lions coaching staff previously headed by their former skipper Rigobert-Song Bahanag.

According to Djounang, FECAFOOT will in the next few days, announced the details of the recruitment of process for a new Indomitable Lions coaching staff.

On behalf of the Federation of Cameroon Football Federation Executive Committee, the FECAFOOT General Secretary notified members of the Indomitable Lions coaching staff of the their end of contract to manage Cameroon’s Senior Men’s National Team.

He also extended FECAFOOT’s thank their former head coach Rigobert-Song Bahanag and his assistants for their dedication to serve the nation during their two years stint.
