Sports for Empowerment Foundation Receives Major Donation of Sports Equipment from Dutch Partners

ADO Den Haag and Wij Voor De Jeugd among key contributors championing grassroots sports in Sierra Leone.

The Sport For Empowerment Foundation Sierra Leone has proudly announced a generous donation of sports equipment from several esteemed Dutch institutions, notably including the renowned football club ADO Den Haag and the dedicated youth development organisation Wij Voor De Jeugd.

This remarkable donation was skillfully coordinated through the Foundation’s head office in the Netherlands and is already making a profound impact across various communities.

Thanks to this invaluable contribution, community sports initiatives in diverse cities such as Kenema, Makeni, and Freetown are experiencing a vibrant revival.

Teachers, trainers, and young athletes are now able to attend training sessions and engage in a variety of sporting activities, equipped with proper gear that ignites their passion for sports.

The sight of children wearing new football kits, bouncing newly donated basketballs, and practising with fresh sporting gear is already rejuvenating local sports culture.

“We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the institutions that have made it their duty to support our mission,” expressed a representative from the Foundation.

“With your unwavering commitment, our participants can now embrace sports with renewed confidence and dignity, creating invaluable experiences that foster teamwork and personal growth.”

The donated equipment is being systematically distributed across key regions, ensuring that every item reaches the hands of aspiring athletes and coaches who desperately need it.

The Foundation has committed to keeping its supporters informed about the distribution process and the progress of its ongoing programs, promising transparency and accountability.

As the Foundation endeavours to harness the transformative power of sport to change lives, this significant donation serves as a poignant reminder of the strength found in international solidarity and partnership.

“We invite you to continue this journey with us as we strive to empower communities through sport, nurturing both talent and resilience,” the organisation remarked.
