Africell has once again proven its unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and sports development by officially partnering with the Sierra Leone Basketball Federation in support of the national U-16 basketball team.
This landmark agreement, signed on July 8, fuels the young talents' journey as they gear up for the AfroBasket Zone 2 Qualifiers, set to take place in Guinea from 16th to 19th July 2025.
At the official unveiling of the partnership, Africell's Chief Operating Officer, Malek El Koussa, underscored the broader vision behind this initiative.
“Supporting sports is about creating opportunities for young people to dream bigger, work harder, and achieve more, both on and off the court,” he remarked, echoing the company’s long-standing dedication to national development through youth-centered initiatives.
The AfroBasket Zone 2 Qualifiers bring together the region’s most promising young athletes, and Sierra Leone’s U-16 squad is ready to rise to the occasion.
With Africell’s backing, the team is equipped not only with resources but with renewed morale and national pride.
This partnership goes beyond basketball, it’s a strategic investment in the future of Sierra Leonean youth.
By lighting the path for these rising stars, Africell is helping to shape a new generation of leaders, dreamers, and champions.
