After drawing their opening match against Guinea, Shooting Stars approached today’s game with panache and pedigree. Their efforts paid off when the team’s captain, Momoh Ibrahim Kamara delivered an outstanding performance opened the deadlock in the 37th minute. Kamara skillfully navigated through an Idrissa Sesay low cross assist to put Sierra Leone in the lead. The momentum continued in grand style in the second half of proceedings when Santigie Fornah doubled the lead in the 50th minute. The event was held at the Boulevard Palace Hotel in Monrovia, Liberia, on Tuesday 17th September 2024 was a directive from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as part of the ongoing U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers tournament. Representing the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) at the workshop were Technical Director Ibrahim Bah, Shooting Stars captain Momoh I. Kamara and Edward Bello Yillah as player representatives. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for the team to gain insights and experience on critical issues affecting young players.
