Amidu Karim: “We had a good test against Ethiopia”

Following the goalless encounter between Ethiopia and Sierra Leone on home soil last Thursday, Awoko interviewed the Assistant coach-1 of Sierra Leone senior Men’s team Leone Stars Amidu Karim about the match result and he says the encounter was a good test for his side. “We had a good game against Ethiopia; a very formidable side that was unable to edge our dominated home-based side after full time is reality an encouraging outcome for our players who were swift to go by our game plan. Despite my players did not score as we would had love, explained the Leone Stars technician. The former Sierra Leone International defender added that the encounter was a good test and a perfect opener of their preparation for the 2021 delayed Total-Energies Africa Cup of Nations that will be held in Cameroon next year. Sierra Leone is in the same group with Algeria, Ivory Coast and Equatorial Guinea and the four nations will be battling for the top two slots from Group-E to progress to Africa’s biggest male showpiece.
