❗At Teko Barracks... ❗️11 Gallant Soldiers Decorated

Top military Personnel of the Republic of Sierra Leone Arm Forces (RSLAF) and stakeholders within and outside Makeni, have colourfully decorated 11 newly promoted gallant gentlemen officers at the premises of the 4th infantry brigade, situated at Teko road in Makeni Bombali District, Northern Sierra Leone.

The decoration ceremony was staged few days after correspondences were sent to various brigades in the country informing them about the promotion of certain officers to the rank of Captains and Majors respectively.

The promotion cut across regions in the country, with officers promoted from almost all the brigades in the country.

According to investigation made by this medium, amongst the eleven officers that were promoted, six were promoted to the rank of Captains and five of them promoted as Majors chronologically as per the military structure.

At the ceremony, orderliness and happiness was highly sensed, with motivational statements from the 4th Infantry Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Dauda his Alpha, Commanding Officer Lieutenant Conel Gogera, Religious Heads, and other very important personalities that witnessed the event.

According to 4th Infantry Brigade’s Commanding Officer Lieutenant Connell Gogera, in an interview with this writer, the promotion came as no magic but as result of hard work and commitments shown by the 11 newly promoted officers over the years in the army.

He maintained that the said officers are not only officers but they are also fine, energetic, and devoted academics that have propelled excellently at various academic quarters they have represented not only themselves but the army as well.

‘For us in the military, new rank means more responsibilities to the force. I am therefore, urging all officers to work harder to reach this peak and elevate more subsequently” he concludes.

Family members, friends, officers, media personalities, and other partners of the Republic of Sierra Leone Arm Forces (RSLAF) graced the event that was climaxed by merriments on Friday, 15th February 2019.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
