‼️Direct Aid Donates to Muslims and Deprived Persons

As part of its yearly activity of giving Zakat to the Muslim Jamats and deprived persons in the Holy Month of Ramadan, Direct Aid through Africa Muslim Agency has donated over 500 bags of Rice weight at 25kgs, five liters of Oil and Sugar to over 500 Muslims including Staff of the Africa Muslim Agency, deprived persons and stakeholders of Makeni in the Bombali District.

The entire donation ceremony, which was staged, at the Africa Muslim Agency Center in Makeni along Magburaka Highway on Sunday May 19, 2019 attracted mass attention of Residents of Makeni, Journalists, and Stakeholders within the Bombali District and it was spearheaded by the Bombali District Chief Imam assisted by the Medical Doctor of the Makeni Arab Hospital.

The Sole Custodian of the Sacred Properties of Bombali Shebora Chiefdom, Pa. Masim Conteh, among other stakeholders thanked Direct Aid for such a donation at a time like this when the country’s economic stands are crippling.

Mr. Conteh described the donation as a fulfillment of God’s commandment to mankind to do give out Zakat to the poor and less privilege around us, citing that it is the biggest of the many donation ceremonies the Islamic organization has powered and that on behalf of the people of Bombali Shebora Chiefdom and the District at large pleaded to Direct Aid to continue to do more of its Philanthropic gesture to the people of Bombali to help compliment governments efforts successively.

He also admonished beneficiaries to be religious and to as well share at least a little of the food items they have received to the poorest of the poor to prevent them from going without daily meals especially in this Holy Month of Ramadan as written down in the Hold Quraan for Mankind: (Muslims and Non-Muslims) to do good robustly to the poor and vulnerable people during the Holy Month Ramadan.

The donation is funded by different Muslims based in Kuwait and it is a “Seasonal Fast Breaking Project for Muslims and Deprived Persons” residing in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone,” Direct Aid through the Africa Muslim Agency is implementing this project on yearly basis to help out people who do fast but are finding things very difficult to fend for meals in the Month of Ramadan.

Bakheet Yousif is the Director North for Direct Aid and he revealed to pressmen that they have donated food items to over 500 Muslims in their 2019 Seasonal Fast Breaking Project for Muslims and Deprived Persons” residing in the Northern Province of Sierra Leone.

He described the whole process as a laudable success been recorded and that more exception should be rested on Direct Aid to provide more support in subsequent years.
Bakheet also thanked all other sectors that witnessed the event with very strong commitment made to register more people to benefit from other donations, of their in subsequent years he said.

Aminata Koroma and Sheik Mohamed Kamara, are two of the many beneficiaries that received the food items from Direct Aid, they thanked Direct Aid on behalf of other beneficiaries for boosting their homes at a time like this in the country when the prices of food stuff is hiking on daily basis.

They promised to share the items with their respective families and friends when they return to their various homes and thus requested Direct Aid to continue with such donations in years to come they stressed.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
