Entertainment has added value to investments, encouraged foreign collaborations, boost the GDPs and Economies of many nations unlike a nation like Sierra Leone which is full of untapped talents and multi-talented personalities, where Entertainment is on a glamorous increase, but for so many reasons ranging from personal to extra personal reasons, most Entertainers especially Musicians of the developing West African Nation has realized little or no benefit of its enormous Entertainment gains despite efforts made by liberally minded few to help add value to the country’s music sector for several decades now have proved futile.

Seemingly, the newest strides from the Sierra Leone Musicians Union – (SLMU) Interim Executive is on a revamp of a robust and forever strategically placed union for the country’s music sector to have a nationally recognized and legally backed democratic steering committed to run its affairs independently but collaboratively.

It is on this backdrop a new vision of betterment for all have emerged which is known as the Sierra Leone Entertainment Laboratory (SL Ent. Lab), a Sahr Issa initiative that is gradually spreading nationwide with support from big and new names in the country’s Music industry and the Entertainment Industry at large.

Since January this year, when this idea was made public by the Country’s Dopest Producer Sahr Issa and others who started with a weekly evaluation radio show hosted on Afri Radio FM 105.3 with its focus on diagnosing for the loops and nooks that has led to the stagnation and underdevelopment in the Sierra Leone Entertainment Industry despite the massive and inspirational dedication of Entertainers to the industry has proved worthy of a readily available and committed population that is ready to help rebrand the country’s entertainment industry of which an interim executive representing the Sierra Leone Music Sector is championing this course duly.

This new interim Musicians Union comprises of prominent names of heroic personalities to be celebrated sooner for their willingness to champion this liberation course for betterment and sustainable development sake.

At its first meeting held on Sunday 19th May 2019 in the country’s capital city Freetown, shows that since the formation of the current interim executive, several issues such as Drafting a Constitution, Registering the Sierra Leone Musicians Union formally to all necessary Ministries Agencies and Departments (MDAs), Official Launching Date of the Sector, and more were all highlighted and chatted on as crucial instruments on the road map of achieving this newest revolution.

The Agile Alie Conteh is currently the Chairman, the Exponential King Fisher is Secretary General, the Legendary Lansana Sheriff (Steady Bong) is Organizing Secretary, the Dopest Sahr Issa and many others from other regions of the country are all part of the interim body steering the development wheels for a lucrative, peaceful, unanimous and collaborative Music Industry soonest to be install.

However, a revelation made to this medium by a top member of movement indicates that preparations are on for a national meeting to be organized sooner that will feature representatives from all Districts and Towns of the country to dialogue on democratic grounds ahead of the official launching date of the Sierra Leone Musicians Union that has been slated to take place at the Bintumani Hall or Miatta Conference Hall on World Music Day (October 1, 2019).

Sierra Leone, Two other Nations disqualified from AFCON 2024 U17 Qualifiers

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
