Three years
old minor is said to have encountered sexual penetration in the hands of a
twenty-five years old man Mohamed Bangura, a farmer by profession at Rosint
village in the Bombali Shairay, Bombali District.
According to
an eye witness in court, She informed the jam-pack court presided over by
Justice Unisa Kamara that the accused Mohamed Bangura is her neighbor who
reside at Rosint village and recalled on the 19th November 2018, she
left both the three years old minor playing in an open place with her son only
to return home without seen her and immediately she went in search of her.
She
disclosed that during the searched for the minor, she saw the accused door
permanently closed which prompted her to become curious and straightly went and
knocked until the accused open, after a while she saw the minor coming from the
room holding his pants by her knees and later she saw a slippery whitish
substance on the victim under wear which urged her to raised alarmed.
She emphasis
that during the process another neighbor came in and they went straightly to
the accused room, they met the accused Mohamed Bangura trying to dress up, when
one of the neighbor grabbed of his penis. Later the saw a whitish substance
coming from his penis mouth.
He concluded
that the accused wear a trousers without any under wear during his arrest and
that his zipped was widely open when the other neighbor get hold on it.
In his
defense in court, the accused denied the allegation but admitted that he went
to dress up in his room after his farming exercised and to his dismayed he saw
the minor inside his room but he did not sexual fidgeted her.
Medical
reports tendered in court explained that the three years old minor had bruises
on the virginal wall and she has lost of her virginity. On a legal ground, State Counsel North,
Lawyer Aruna Jalloh raised a submission that the accused Mohamed Bangura stand
trial on two courts ranging from Sexual Penetration and Sexual Touching
contrary to law which are grave concern to the state and therefore rejected for
any attempt to grant him bail.
Justice
Unisa Kamara stated that his court will not even negotiate the aspect of bail
and therefore adjourned the matter to the next court session where he will
deliver his verdict.
