POLICE CHIEF INTENSIFIES NIGHT OPERATIONS

The Regional Commander in charged of North East region, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Ambrose Sovula has engaged community stakeholders comprises of Paramount Chiefs, tribal chiefs, bike riders, bar owners and youth for their cooperation to curbed out pocket of Armed robbers who are bent to causing mayhem in his region.

This action came about when few armed robbers from unknown destination summarized in Makeni and attacked a dwelling house between Talent town and Timbo area where the successful carted away million of Leones and in the process discharged gun shot at one businessman and a military officer and immediately went in to thin air.

AIG Sovula stated that it is unfortunately but already he has put measures in place for any eventuality and on that note he has engaged with all Local Units Commanders to embarked on mobile checkpoint in all prone areas of police concern.

He further disclosed that police are not going to work in isolation as the paramount chiefs have established community volunteers to share intelligent with the police for further action.

He concluded that through community policing, his men on the ground are going to unearth the unknown destination of these hard-core criminals, as he believes his region will never be a crime zone areas for criminal activities.

Yoni Chiefdom Crowns Journalist Richmond Tholley as Ceremonial Chief
