Objectives of the action

Overall objective: 
To support equitable growth, poverty reduction and democratisation in Sierra Leone, through an integrated local development approach.


Specific objective: 
Civil society actors, in particular youth and women, positively contribute to socioeconomic service delivery and accountability at local level in Bombali district.

Estimated outcomes

O1: Civil society organisations have increased organisational and technical capacity to contribute to integrated local development and implement gender sensitive initiatives.

O2: Women, young people and their communities have increased access to knowledge and skills and resources for income generation and improved livelihoods and nutrition.

O3: Women, young people and their communities are participating in the sustainable management of water facilities and natural resources.

O4: Women, young people and their communities have strengthened voice and participation in governance and decision-making in Bombali.

The Action for Advocacy and Development- Sierra Leone has received funds from European Union (EU) and Trocaire for the construction of four (4) Hand dug Water wells and five (5) community water trenchesin Bombali District, and now invitessealed bids from eligible bidders for the required works:

Bidding will be conducted through the National competitive bidding procedure in accordance with National Public Procurement Authority(NPPA) Acts, 2016 and bidding is open to all contractors  who can demonstrate technical and financial capabilities to do the required works within a specify period of time. 

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address below between the Hours of 9:00 Am to 5:00 Pm Mondays to Fridays daily. Bidding documents may be obtained on a free cost basis at the address below.

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12 Noon on Monday19th March, 2020 
 All bids must be accompanied by:
A Valid Business registration certificate
Bid Security of SLL 5,000,000(Five Million Leones) from a reputable Bank;
A valid NRA  tax clearance certificate;
A valid NASSIT clearance certificate;
A signed Integrity Pact; [see attached]
Local Council Registration certificate 
A Valid Ministry of Works & Public Asset, Financial class 111 or better  certificate 
Evidence of similar works undertaken 
Completed and signed Bid form 
Bids will be publicly opened on Monday 19th March, 2020 at 12: noon in the Conference Hall of AAD-SL in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below.  Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened to bidders.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
