The President’s Wedding

By: Ibrahim Jalloh – (Jallomy)

President Bio has catholically wedded his wife, Mrs. Fatima Bio, in a cost effective but very colorful and memorable ceremony on past Friday, February 21 2020 at the Catholic Major Seminary’s Chapel in Regent. Earlier, ignorance overwhelmed a segment of the citizenry, who categorically questioned and criticized the canonic legality and moral quality of the wedding.

As the wedding closed in, the Chief Catholic Shepherd in Sierra Leone, His Grace Bishop Tamba Charles corrected the wrong perception and resoundingly endorsed the intention and preparation of President Bio to give sacramental character to the long standing relationship between him and Madam Fatima Bio.

President Bio is a Catholic Christian from birth. He was very restive and confident in the plausibility of the wedding. While the massive stampede was going on, President Bio was all smiling at the folly of his chronic detractors. We must understand that President Bio has a private and public life.

There is practically a thin line between the private and public life of the president but yet the right to privacy and private life is inherent. Invading aggressively on the private life of the president is also a violation of his humanity and individual aspirations.

Those with the view that the president could face the temptation of utilizing public money on his wedding must think very hard and liberate their minds. As far as the records go, there is no matrimonial allowance for sitting presidents.

Congratulations to your Excellency and wife. We look up to madam First Lady to support the president to govern the state.
