RFB warps up end of year Friendlies with 2-1 comeback triumph

His death came after he was reportedly being hit at Kosso village by an unknown motorbike rider who remains on the run. He’s among some 12 Sierra Leonean Journalists and the 3rd after Bill Wager and Patricia Ganda both former employees of one of his establishments Star Television who have joined our ancestors, leaving very many of us and other members of the public truly pained over their demised being that they’re among some of the biggest contributors of the journalism profession in Sierra Leone. Sand Mining in Lungi a Very Serious Environmental Issue

With the destructive way that sand is being mined on the beaches of Lungi town, especially the Mahera area, it is only a matter of time before a very flood causes massive destruction for those who have built close to the beach area and beyond. Ministry of Trade Holds Two Days Training for 30 Northern Region Trade Monitors

13th EBK-Trophy: Golden Dragons, 3 others to challenge for last 2 spots

SSS-II Pupils at St. Francis Developed Electronic Lamborghini Prototype from Scraps

Kamara, both SSS-II Science pupils attending the Saint Francis Secondary School in Makeni city, Bombali District , Northeastern Sierra Leone recently showcased at the school premises their newly developed electric Lamborghini prototype from scrap materials. The prototype they've developed is rechargeable and is regulated by a Play station-3 like keypad connected to the car through a long black cable which allows an operator to move the toy car back and forth with a flood of lights in the front on the middle top and back of the prototype car all shining bright immediately, the power button is being pressed to switch it on. ​December Women’s National Teams World Ranking: Sierra Leone still at 138th out of 185 Nations

By: alusinerehme.wilson@awokonewspaper.sl    For the third time since August, the Senior Women’s National Team of Sierra Leone nicknamed “Sierra Queens” has failed to make any improvements in the global  ranking of the FIFA/Coca Cola Women’s National Football Teams, the team has been ranked 136th out of 185th Nations according to a December 9 ranking.  The top five Nations are USA, Germany, Sweden, England and France while Madagascar, Angulilla, Turks and Caicos Islands, South Sudan and Mauritius are rock bottom on 181, 182, 183, 184 and 185 places respectively. ​Goal Queen Race Heightens in 1st National Women’s Top-Tier

By: Alusine Rehme Wilson  Seven weeks since Sierra Leone’s first ever National Women’s League Kickoff at the Wusum Stadium in Makeni on October 15,  the race for the Goal Queen Award is proving to be very competitive amongst players of the 12 participating teams. After 84 games played so far, 42 players of all the participating teams have netted at least a goal to add their names respectively to the score sheet but the healthy race remains tighter among Kahulan Queens Football Club’s duos Matilda Kabba and Adama Jalloh who now leads the race with 7 and 10 goals scored accordingly in 7 games played. A total of eight U15 and U17 youthful football teams from Freetown, Lungi and Makeni namely Star Sports Academy, FC Kallon, Orthodox and Makeni youth teams are taking part in first ever double youthful tournament hosted in the northeastern city. Sierra Leone National Commission on Small Arms Launches Regional Office in Makeni
