In EBK Football Trophy Match Day One... ⚽Bombali Shebora's PRO Cries Foul...🏆

EBK Football Trophy organizing committee has ruled out the competition’s two times Champions Bombali Shebora formerly known as Thaba N’ban, from participating in this year’s league. The team's Public Relations Officer  Alimamy Kewullay Kanu has express concerns over that ruling to be biased to his side, a side he describe to be the most formidable team in the Makeni municipality presently with the players of the moment.

Alimamy made these expressions at the Makeni Wusum Stadium immediately after the opening ceremony match that was between the defending champions of the league Wusum Stars and Bullom Strikers that all ended by a goal to Neil to the league’s three times Champions Wusum Stars.

He stressed that to him, and the fans of Bombali Shebora it is very unfair from the side of the league's organizing committee to ruled them out in the competition’s 8th edition for an issue according to the organizing committee that occurred three years back in Lunsar, where his side and that of Marampa Stars FC went into blows at an away match that year.

He emphasis that the issue has been laid to rest years back, that is why the league organizing committee invited and allowed his side to play the 2017 (7th) edition of the competition, but to their dismay they were shocked to see this year's league fixtures without Bombali Shebora’s inclusion.

He also said that Bombali Shebora’s complaints are always turned down by the District and Regional Football leaders which he said is a complete display of injustice on their side but however admonished fans of the division one club to remain calm as the team is only not included into the EBK Trophy this year but they are into so many other football competitions within the region most especially they have been invited into the Bo district organized Presidential Trophy (Madda Bio Trophy 2018) a trophy they will play at the Bo mini Stadium in Bo on 25th December, 2018.

The organizing committee of the EBK Football trophy Chairman Mr. Abdul Rahman Kamara who also doubles as the Chairman and Secretary General of the Bombali Football Association (BDFA) and Northern Region Football Association (NRFA) respectively in a press conference in October has clearly stated that the league is set up to promote football in this part of the country and to as well help to install discipline into the players in the region, a move they are ready to always stand by at all times in the competition with the blessings of the district, regional and national football bodies without fear or favor to any player or team which is why Bombali Shebora by default of an initial ban issued to them last year are not eligible to play this year’s competition he noted.
