In Magbema Chiefdom… ⚽RoKFA HOME LEAGUE TAKES CENTER STAGE…🏆



In Rokupr Khalizha, Magbema Chiefdom, Kambia District, the first edition organized inter community football competition organized by the Rokupr Khaliza Football Association (RoKFA) has revitalized the taste of competitive football matches with an amazing display of soccer skills from young and talented players in the township.

This first edition captures eight popular areas in the municipality that are competing to bag home the sum of Seven hundred thousand Leones (Le 700,000) cash prize which has been set aside for the champions and the sum of Three hundred thousand Leones (Le 300,000) for the competition’s Runners-Up.

The league is approaching it Semi Final stage now with Bongay Central, Rogbalane, and Makatic communities all into the Semi’s already while they await either Kabasa Lodge or Limba Corner  who will be up against each other in the last match of the of the group stage.

The league is embraced by many sports followers in and out of the township especially Rokuparians  at home and abroad who are pleased with this move by RoKFA, a body this is less than three months old after it was established in Rokupr town by the Kambia District Football Association (KaDFA) Chairman, Mr. Musa Kofi Dankwa Mahmood as part of his development process to decentralize the activities of football at every corner in the district.

According to RoKFA’s  Public Relation Officer, Abdul Samad Dumbuya in an interview with this writer on Sunday, 4th November, 2018 he noted that RoKFA membership  is made up of a composition of young and dedicated youths headed by Alhajie Kamara a teacher of the Rokupr Ahmadiyya Muslim Senior Secondary School.

He emphasized that all the members of RoKFA have contributed in one way or the other towards the growth of football in Rokupr and sports in particular in the township and the district as a whole.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
