WAFU-B Experts Assessing Sierra Leone’s readiness to host 2023 Women’s U20 Tourney

After the Government of Sierra Leone Okayed the local football federation (SLFA) bid to host this year’s West Africa Football Union (WAFU) A-Zone Women’s U20 tournament, SLFA’s Head of Media and Marketing Ibrahim Kamara has told Multimedia Journalist Alusine Rehme Wilson that a team of experts are assessing the available facilities of the nation to host the zonal women’s championship.

According to the SLFA spokesman, the team of experts will conduct a four-day assessment  in Bo and Kenema until this Friday.  

While in the South and Eastern regional headquarter cities, the experts assessments focuses on checking facilities in stadiums and hotels to know whether they befit the status to let the West Africa football loving nation host the tournament on a date expected to be communicated later.

Should the assessment show positive for Sierra Leone, it will be another hosting right of the women’s championship for the second time since it last hosted the maiden edition in Makeni and Bo in 2020 that was won by Senegal.
