FAKE POLICE OFFICERS ARRESTED

At Makoth checkpoint in the Makarie Chiefdom, Bombali District. Three fake police officers were arrested yesterday with Sierra Leone police identity cards in their possession.

The head of Criminal Investigation Department Assistance Superintendent of Police, Margret Marah confirmed to this medium in Makeni that the three suspects, Obie MomohKeta, Michael Milton John and Augustine Moijua all resident of Freetown are helping the Makeni police with the said investigation. 

She disclosed that suspects before their arrest were in possession of a motor bike, Police identity card, five motor bikes seals from the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), traditional charm and some amount of money.

She concluded that during questioning, the three suspects revealed their identities as police officers but unfortunately cannot disclosed where and when they were trained into the Sierra Leone Police Force.

The Local Unit Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police Francis Songu has assured this medium that suspects we be speedily investigated and brought to book.

He said the Sierra Leone Police Force is a reputable institution govern by the constitution of Sierra Leone and therefore assured that the Sierra Leone Police will do all in their powers to clamp dawn these new gang of criminals who are purporting as police officers for their dubious activities.
