SSS 3 PUPIL REMANDED FOR MURDER

The presiding Magistrate at the Magburaka court Samuel Koroma has denied Kadiatu Adamsay Mansaray, a SSS3 pupil bailed for the offence of murder contrary to law.

According to the evidence in court, revealed that the accused on Thursday 13th February 2020 murder a three months old sucking mother Marion Gbla resident of Matotoka town in the Tena Chiefdom, Tonkolili District on the pretext that the deceased was having a marital affairs with her boy lover Alhaji Turay.

Testifying in court, Detective Sergeant 7846 Nathaniel Lamin said he recognized the accused person in the dock and recalled on Thursday 13 February 2020, he was on duty at Magburaka police station when a report of an alleged murder involved Marion Gbla now deceased was made by one Amadu Thullah, who described himself as a community Health Officer attached at Matotoka community health post.

He recalled that his superior immediately assigned the investigation to him and immediately he went to the scene of crime at Matotoka with his Scene of Crime Officer Detective police 17635 Juldeh Brima Sesay.

He noted, while at Matotoka the remains of the deceased was handed over to them and later conveyed to the Magburaka government Hospital for postmortem examination.

He concluded that the postmortem result stated that the deceased did not die of natural death but strangulation. 

He further disclosed that during investigation, the accused said that she committed the offence because the deceased was stubborn after she has pleaded with her to stay away from her boy lover Alhaji Turay but to no avail.
