The Criminal
Investigation Department in Makeni will charge to court today Abubakarr Kargbo
of 7 Kuyateh drive and Alfred Thorley for two count charges ranging from
Assault on Police and throwing missiles contrary to law.
According to the
complainant, PC 13475 Mohamed Maruff Bangay said he
recalled on the 31st of March 2020 when he met these two suspects
including other unknown person playing football and as police officer, he stop
and decided to advise them about social distance when they became annoyed and
immediately threatening him.
He recalled on Sunday
5th April 2020 at about 10: 22 hours, his house was attacked with
stones from different direction and during the struggled he met one of the
suspect Alfred Thorley with several stones in his hand and immediately arrested
him and later call for police assistance.
At the Makeni police
station, the two suspects Abubakarr Kargbo and Alfred Thorley were investigated
and charged to court for two counts and that both suspects are expected to be
arraigned in court today before the presiding magistrate Peter Brima Gogra.
