SLAJ NORTH DONATES VERONICA BUCKETS TO MEDIA HOUSES

The Sierra Leone Association of Journalists  (SLAJ)  North headed by Sahr James Bangah on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th April 2020,donated veronica buckets and related items  to all media houses in Makeni in Bombali district and Magburaka in  Tonkolili District with support from Child Fund’s  Munafa M’Patie Federation in Binkolo, Safroko Limba Chiefdom in the Bombali District.


On behalf of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists, Chairman Sahr James Bangah thanks Munafa- M’Patie Federation for their timely intervention to support media houses in the fight against Corona virus in Sierra Leone noting  that the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists has a key role to play in the fight against the deadly pandemic  and he therefore  calls on his membership to use the veronica buckets and related items for the intend purpose.

He revealed that the Lebanese Community in Makeni has also donated thirty veronica buckets to the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists North and that his leadership will make sure that all media houses in the northern Region benefits from these donations.

Explaining the rationale behind the donation, Program Director Munafa-M’Patie,Sanu Konteh said his organization has donated veronica buckets in all their operation areas.


He reiterated that his organization is determined and willing to compliment government efforts in the fight against Corona Virus in Sierra Leone. He disclosed that Corona virus is a deadly disease that has destroyed hundreds of lives in world and therefore prompted and collective action is urgently needed to eradicate it in society.

The Regional Coordinator for the National Council for Civic Education and Development and Education ( NaCCED) , Ibrahim Jalloh,  commended the frantic efforts of Munafa-M’Patie Federation, a local Non- Governmental Organization with result oriented. He said the donation to SLAJ is a clear indication that the leadership of Munafa- M’Patie Federation has accepted the clarion call of President Bio to fight against corona virus in Sierra Leone.

He called on other Non- Governmental Organization to follow the footprints of Munafa-M’Patie in the fight against Covid 19 in the country.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District

Sierra Leone, Two other Nations disqualified from AFCON 2024 U17 Qualifiers
