Under lockdown: Makeni City Council cleans City

The Bombali District Traders Union Executive yesterday commended the Mayor of Makeni City Council and the indefatigable Chief Administrator, Daniel Kpukumu, and Team for a job well planned and well done during the lockdown period.

The Chairman of the Traders Union Bombali District, Mr. Mohamed Zandra Sankoh,  said to this medium that the Union was impressed after the three days “stayed at Home” only to come out and see their business center perfectly clean which implied that the Makeni City was at work and on that note he thanks the leadership Mayor Sunkarie Kamara team.

The Chief Administrative Officer, Daniel Boima Kpukumu said the three days lockdown was an opportunity for Makeni City Council to display to the people of Makeni City that they are not masters but servant of the people.

He said during the three days lockdown, Makeni City was busy complimenting government efforts in fight against corona virus and also executing their constitutional mandates.

He thanked the Sierra Leone police and the military for their role to make sure there was no security threat for alarmed as the market places were protected secure from any criminal activities.

Yoni Chiefdom Crowns Journalist Richmond Tholley as Ceremonial Chief
