8 YEARS JAIL FOR BURGLARY CRIMINAL

Justice Ibrahim Mohamed Koroma, presiding Judge at the Makeni High court has slammed eight (8) years jail sentence term on Alusine Koroma who was standing trial on three counts charges ranging from Burglary and Larceny contrary to section 25(1) and (13) a of the Larceny Act 1916.And also carrying offensive weapon contrary to section 16 of the public order Act No 46 of 1965.

According to the State Counsel North Aruna Jalloh informed the court that the accused on the 4th day of July 2016 at Makarr village in the Kholifa Rowala Chiefdom, Tonkolili District broke and entered the dwelling house of Alhaji Kamara with intent to steal and thereby stole one DVD video value at two hundred and fifty thousand Leone and later went in to thin air when the complainant Alhaji Kamara was shouting for community assistance to arrest him.

He revealed that the accused also used offensive weapon to execute his crimininal activities at that night. Four witnesses testify and it was prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the accused Alusine Kamara committed the alleged offence according to law.

The presiding Judge, Justice Koroma was left with no alternative but to sentence the accused person for eight years and to served as a warning that criminal has no place in his court.
