STATE COUNSEL NORTH TAKE OVERS FREE MEDICAL DRUGS CASE.

As the legal battle continue in Makeni Magistrate court, State Counsel North takes over the prosecution wing from the hand of the police on the ground that the offence committed by accused person, Abibu Saidu, Idrisa Turay and Alusine Sesay alias Liverpool is felonious by law and need to be treated with the amount of seriousness which it deserved.

The accused persons are represented by a prominent young lawyer A.B Sannoh while the state is been represented by Lawyer Aruna Jalloh. Both accused persons Abibu Saidu, Idrisa Turay and Alusine Sesay alias Liverpool are charged with seven counts charges ranging from conspiracy, Larceny by Servant and unlawful possession.

It was revealed in court through the prosecution wing that they three accused persons between the 1st of June and 22nd September 2018 carted away free medical drugs worth to nine six million two hundred and seventy one thousand Leones  property of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation while in the custody of the District Medical Officer.

Police source also revealed that on the 22th September 2018, there was a tip up information that certain amounts of free medical drugs are parked in a dwelling house at 27 Magburaka and 1 Kalokoh in Makeni.

Upon that information, a team of Police officers went to the scene wherein they were able to discover and arrest fifty four cartons of the free medical drugs including the accused person that were in possession with such amount of drugs.
The matter was adjourned to Friday 19th October 2018 with bail refused by Magistrate John Manso Fornah.
