UNCLE RAPE 3 YEARS OLD GIRL

At the Makeni high court, presided over by Justice Ibrahim Mohamed Koroma. A 42 years old Mohamed Bangura now a convict was sentence to ten (10) years jail for the offence of sexual penetration contrary to law.

According the three years old minor, informed the court that the accused was his uncle and usually visit him but she recalled on 2nd September during their short stayed at the accused resident in Makeni, the accused Mohamed Bangura forcefully inserted his finger in to her virginal where she sustained pain blood oozing.

She reiterated that the pain was heavy and immediately went and reported the matter to her mother who took her to the police.

During the trail the accused Mohamed Bangura said he was not guilty this prompted the state Counsel North Aruna Jalloh to present five prosecution witnesses which proved the accused guilty of committing sexual penetration against the minor.

Delivery his verdict, Justice Ibrahim Mohamed Koroma said that the offence committed by Mohamed Bangura is felonious by law and on that note sentence him for ten years.

In another related even, Umaro Conteh of No 1 Lunsar road in Makeni and a cobbler by profession was also sentence to eight (8) years for the offence of sexual penetration of a child, contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual offence Act No 12 of 2012.

According to the eleven (11) years old minor, informed the court that he was selling sausage when the accused Umaro Conteh called her and bought five thousand Leone and later the accused requested that he needed more sausage the following day which she came with.

She further revealed that the accused took ten thousand Leones sausage and went to his hut and called her to come and collect the money which she comply.

She noted while in the room the accused forcefully closed the door and had sexual intercourse with her and later gave her three thousand Leones to return home.

She concluded that immediately she went home her elder sister detected the strange way she walk and question her.

She further revealed that during the process, she explained her ordeal with the cobbler now a convict how she forcefully encounter sexual intercourse with the accused, which prompted her elder sister to call on the police.

The accused pleaded guilty and ask for mercy which was rejected by the presiding Judge. Justice Ibrahim Mohamed Koroma on the ground that the accused actions which he committed is felonious by law and therefore sentence him to eight years.
