6 YEARS MINOR TESTIFIES IN SEXUAL PENETRATION TRIAL

At the Makeni Magistrate Court, presided over by Peter Gogra. A six year old minor testifies how she encountered forceful sexual intercourse in the hands of the accused Alpha Ibrahim Kamarain her home.

She revealed that in diverse date between 1stMay 2019 and 31st May 2019 in Makeni, Bombali judiciary district. 

The accused Alpha Ibrahim Kamara who happen to be her adopted brother raised by his biological father at of sympathy met her playing in the parlor, she noted that the accused later called her with the pretext of sending her only to her dismayed when he saw the accused forcefully grabbed her and immediately removed her cloth including him where she had sexual intercourse with and later threaten her if she tell anyone, he will beat him to death. 

She recalled that in another event, the accused was washing and when he came to the parlor he met her sitting and immediately called her to meet him in his room which she refused and wanted to run when the accused rush and grabbed her again and took her in his room where he had sexual intercourse with her and later asked her if the sex was sweet.

She concluded that after the sexual intercourse, she saw blood oozing from her legs and the accused took his T-shirt and wiped out the blood and also threatening him not to explain what has happening between them because she will died.

The accused was arraigned for three count charges ranging from Sexual Penetration of a Child contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No 12 of 2012, Meeting a Child for Sexual purpose contrary to Section 23(1)(a) of the Sexual Offences Act No 12 of 2012 and Sexual Touching contrary to law.

Immediately after this revelation, the biological mother of the minor burst in to tears and said “with all what I did to change your life, is this my rewarded” the accused Alpha Ibrahim Kamara was denied bail and was send to the Makeni correction center on the ground that the offence committed was felonious by law and he is expected to appear in court today 6th August 2019.
