“MY UNCLE IMPREGNATED ME”… 13YEARS MINOR TESTIFIES

A thirteen 13 years old minor on Wednesday 13th July 2019 testified before the presiding magistrate, Magistrate Peter Gogra on how she was sexually abuse by her uncle Fuard Kamara of 21 Watson Street in Makeni.

She explained her ordeal that in sometimes February 2019, while at home during the night hour, she saw her uncle who materialized in her bedroom and started to play with her breast and later sexually fidgeted her with his fingers. She noted that immediately she wanted to shout the accused Fuard Kamara threatening to personally kill her if she revealed what was going on between them.

She further revealed, since February the accused was having persistence sexual intercourse with her that resulted to her health deterioration and prompted her aunty to take her to the hospital in Makeni when finally she was diagnose of been pregnant.

She concluded that during questioning by her family members where she got the pregnancy, she immediately confessed and pointed the accused of been responsible, stating out that the accused started to abuse her since February through his fingers and later started to have sexual intercourse with her.

The accused Fuard Kamara, age forty five years (45) was arrested on Friday 19th July 2019 and immediately charged to Makeni magistrate court where he stand trial on two count charges ranging from Sexual Penetration contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offence Act No 12 of 2012 and Sexual abuse by Person in trust contrary to Section 25 (1) (a) of the Sexual Offences Act No 12 of 2012.

On the 24th July 2019, the accused made his first appearance before Magistrate Peter Gogra and was immediately denied bail on the grounds that the offence committed by the accused is felonious by law. The accused Fuard Kamara was later remanded at the Makeni correctional center until the 30th when he is expected to make his second appearance in court
