MURDER SUSPECT ON THE RUN

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), North-East region, on Tuesday 13th August 2019 officially took over an alleged murder investigation reported on Monday 12th August 2019 at the Family Support Unit (FSU) in Makeni city between two biological brothers, Mohamed Kamara now deceased and Yusif Kamara, suspect on the run, were under investigation for the offence of wounding with intent contrary to law when the following day Mohamed Kamara unfortunately met his untimely death as a result of the wound inflicted on him during the fight. 

According to Osman Muntha Kargbo, a teacher at Mamaso Senior High School, disclosed to the police that on Sunday 11th August 2019 he went to greet his friend Mohamed Kamara, now deceased, on Monday 12th August ,2019  an argument ensued between the deceased and his younger brother Yusif Kamara  for a missing mobile phone.

He revealed that the decease, Mohamed Kamara, orally accused Yusif Kamara that he has carted away his mobile phone and during the process both the deceased and the suspect on the run scolded each other when Gibrilla their younger brother came from nowhere and hit  the suspect Yusif Kamara with a dish cover to leave his elder brother Mohamed Kamara.

He revealed that frantic efforts were made by family members to separate them but to no avail and later he saw suspect Yusif Kamara knocked the deceased on his eye that prompted him to go straightly and informed elders of the village.

He pointed out that immediately he explained all what he saw, suspect Yusif Kamara materialized with blood all over his cloth to make his own report while the deceased was already in critical condition.

After a while, Mohamed Kamara was immediately rushed to the Makeni government hospital where he passed away and his remains is still admitted at the Makeni mortuary awaiting postmortem examination to determine the cause of death.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
