WHAT TGC IS ALL ABOUT?

As the name implied, Tongo Global Connection (TGC) gear towards strengthen and rebuilding human relationship among Tongo Field children. 

This association was born out of a dare need by diaspora urgent intention on how to connect and identify sustainable development for the war ravaged community and to create strong link within family members, school mates in order to strengthen human relationship including capacity building.


Tongo field is located in the Lower Bambara Chiefdom, Eastern Province of sierra Leone, before the advent of the rebel war, Tongo Field, is one of a prospective diamond blessed community that enjoyed a circumscribe system of society.

Before the incursion of Tongo Field, the community was manned as one family and every family members where seen as seekers bearing the same ideology with reasonable demonstration of Love. In fact, every parent were seen as watch dogs for every children, irrespective how biological they were related or not.

After the conclusion of the rebel war, most family members in Tongo Field went in to different locations in and out of the country. It was difficult to communicate with each other for years until the diaspora got the vision to connect friends and relatives by forming Tongo Global Connection through what-Sapp group.

The achievement of this whatsapp has help to connects families and friends including mapping out development in the area of education, roads and religious and political tolerance.

The Tongo Global Connection group is non-political and has no tribal trend for future division among its members but strongly considered how to strengthen unity through dialogue within its membership to live as one family with a clear vision of “one family”.

Makeni Medical Mission Brings Hope and Healing to Bombali District
